World International quilting weekend

Quilters around the world are celebrating this weekend showing quilts on their media pages.

I love to play with different fabrics and patterns creating quilts versatile and different from each other.

this is a mini a made with tiny tiny prairie points

a nice flannel quilt currently on my bed but time for a change soon it is getting warm. the one on the wall was made with wolf fabric into a one-block-wonder design

prairie points on this one too.

I hope everyone gets a chance to visit the media and see other quilters posts on their beautiful quilts.

its a topper!

This was a quilt I had started a while ago the bear paws was for another one that I was commissioned to make I didn't think they were suitable so designed this instead with the panel in the middle.

I don't normally work with panels and it is a challenge to make something to compliment it...for me anyways. I thought it turned out pretty good.

I was able to use what I had in my stash for the fabrics, bees trees and such. the border has bee honey combs. I was very fortunate it was make it as you go and everything fit together really well with each border.

we always audition a quilt on DH's brace bed I wish I could get the fabric that is the same as his wallpaper!
then you get friends that tell you about a fabric sale and they know you just finished a bear quilt with bees. So I had to run to get the fabric of course. This sweet fabric will be the backing. That wee bear checking out the sunflowers was my grandmothers.

I also had to be creative on a cat deterrent for them using my quilt as a hammock. It works! it is from the dollar store and is actually for garden animals deterrent. They check to see if it is on now and then but hee, hee, hee I outsmarted them.

It rolls up easy when I want to quilt on the quilt. As you can also see I have to tuck everything in since Meera feels that batting makes a great snack

something to show

I started this sew a long with Border Creek station using the one pieced block but changed it up to add some applique in I had made this block before only a larger size on another sew along. I am working on my corners as you can see below
I also commissioned a friend to embroider a little mug rug for my Honey I love it and so does he
I am working on a quilt to celebrate hope (green) St Patrick's and just plain hand quilting. I decided on the baptiste fan for the quilting but in my mind they are rainbows looking for that pot of gold.
I finished this little quilt a couple of weeks ago as well machine pieced and hand quilted. the patterns were free on line by Pam Buda. I have fallen for her little quilt patterns

Bare with me as I try to relearn blogger seems I have forgotten about the comment section to audit, thanks for those that have and have patience for my replies.
Well back to stitching I am trying to finish some projects so that I can feel that gardening is getting in the way.

Stitching with delight.
