the one below is a mini quilt pattern.
The pattern is from the Miniature Quilts Magazine..anyone remember?? I was so disappointed when then discontinued. I have most of them just missing a few of the beginning ones.. they are keepsakes. I hand appliqued and hand quilted this one..yes there are projects that do get finished..LOL. I have to pull out the mags and look for a couple of Mini's for our Auction on May 13th. keep an eye on the side I will updating a special blog about the Mini's that are going to be in our auction. If anyone knows of any sites that you can get free mini patterns I can let the guild know of please pass them my way.
Well I hope you have a great day.. what is funny is I haven't seen to many chocolate pics.. are we all still counting??
Off to do a couple of stitches and thanks again for the comments and notes of encouragment. I am going to work on block #8 of AMG only 4 more to do and then the boarder!! yippee..
I've just found your blog and I'll have to come back to look at more. You do wonderful quilts and applique! I'm in love with the lone star!
ReplyDeleteboy, it seems like we have a lot in common. I did the center of the redwork quilt. Did not finish the rest but I actually pulled out the center block and I think I am going to use it in the center of my red and whitel BOM that I am doing from our local shop. Yours sure is pretty.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS QUILT!!! I wonder if the publisher has issues going back that far. I would love to make this quilt. I embroidered a vintage pattern with lots of roses on a pair of pillowcases that I gave to my best friend for Christmas and I did them all in red. She was thrilled.
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple of gals in my guild who are trying to complete their collection of the miniature magazines. One gal said she saw some on ebay and Amazon but not the issue(s) she was looking for.
Your work is wonderful!
Both quilts are very nice. I too was dissapointed when the miniatures magazine went out of business.
ReplyDeleteOh the top one is absolutely wonderful! I think a lady in our guild made something like that! What a lot of work! I noticed the Sally Post quilt on your side bar but it looks like it only has the first 10 blocks and that Gayle was having some spam problems. Did you happen to make this quilt? Would you have the remaing pdf's?
ReplyDeleteFabulous quilts. that top one is awesome.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs Gina xxx
Deb, I love the redwork quilt!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love your redwork quilt. I have the BHG calendar, and the quilt this month is the center of your top, I would love to make it also. I started hunting on ebay last night for the Dec issue. Anyone have an extra copy that they are willing to sell? Danielle

ReplyDeleteLinda I will check her out.
If anyone else knows of any mini quilt blogs please let me know. I would like our guild to check them as well.
Thanks Deb
OMG! Your Redwork is FAAAANtastic!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Words fail me! Love it!
Oooh! (=0)
I have that redwork pattern and have pulled it out and it's sitting in my pile of 'to do' projects. Seeing your top again, is prompting me to look at that pattern again and do something about it. Your mini is sweet!
